The United Nations Convention on Climate Change that was held in Nairobi-Gigiri, Kenya in February 2007 recently concluded that global warming is real and should not be ignored. “Against the background of the most conclusive scientific evidence to date that the warming of the climate system is unequivocal and accelerating, the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, Yvo de Boer, called for speedy and decisive international action to combat the phenomenon.”
Global warming is real. While there are still naysayers, recently, a USA/Gallup poll reported that 49% of the U.S. public believes that global warming is a threat to the Earth.
On Tuesday the US EPA proposed tighter pollution on new small engines; up to a 35% reduction. Environmentalists have been concerned for years about small engine emissions. Although the EPA may further regulate new small engines emissions, many of the oldest are still in use throwing as much as 30% of its gas into the atmosphere unburned.
