With title sponsor Mello Yello returning to the National Hot Rod Association's premier drag racing series, fans are already making plans for some intense racing at the most action-packed tracks across the country. With speeds exceeding 330 mph in Top Fuel Funny Car and Top Fuel Dragster, spectators can experience the sensory overload as cars zip often separated by mere inches at the 1000-foot finish line.

NHRA Countdown to the Championship
The NHRA Countdown to the Championship begins in mid-September at historic Maple Grove Raceway in Reading, Pa. for the Dodge NHRA Nationals (Sept. 13-16), followed by the AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals near St. Louis (Sept. 21-23), followed by the AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals at the Texas Motorplex near Dallas (Oct. 4-7), before going back East to state-of-the-art zMAX Dragway for the NHRA Carolina Nationals (Oct. 12-14); then back West for the penultimate stop at NHRA Toyota Nationals in Las Vegas (Oct. 25-28). The Auto Club NHRA Finals at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona, where world champions will be crowned in each class Nov. 8-11.
