Jack Beckman’s Dallas Win Aids Infinite Hero Foundation

Jack Beckman extended team owner Don Schumacher’s incredible 12-win streak in the 2020 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series for Nitro Funny Car on Sunday at the 35th annual AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals. However, for the past two seasons, every time Beckman has strapped into his Infinite Hero Dodge Funny Car, he was on a mission that benefitted the foundation’s fundraising efforts to help our military and veterans face the real challenges of mental and physical health issues. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Beckman carries an Infinite Hero Challenge Coin with him on every trip of his NHRA events. Each personalized challenge coin is available for a $100 donation to the foundation with more than $685,000 raised to help veterans overcome obstacles.

With 22 days remaining in the “For the Love of Color” Infinite Hero Racing Helmet fundraiser, some lucky fan will become the owner of a Neil Ramey designed racing helmet worn by Fast Jack Beckman in all the rescheduled 2020 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series funny car events. The helmet’s design is symbolic of military insignias, and represent the 5 branches of the military, each having purple heart recipients. Race fans can still enter to win Beckman’s Infinite Hero Racing Helmet.

In a thrilling final round action at Texas Motorplex in Ennis, TX, Beckman posted a win at the 35th annual AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals to close on points leader Matt Hagan’s championship points lead. With a run of 3.908 at 328.46 mph in his 11,000-horsepower Infinite Hero Foundation Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, the win, which is Beckman’s third this year and 33rd in his career, pulled Fast Jack to within four points of his teammate. After qualifying Number One, Hagan posted victories against Todd Simpson, J.R. Todd, and Don Schumacher Racing teammate Ron Capps. It gave Hagan back-to-back final-round appearances and his 64th overall final round. Hagan posted a 3.943 ET at 324.20 mph in the championship round. Beckman made four consistent passes in the low-3.90s to win at the Texas Motorplex for the first time in his Nitro Funny Car career.

The NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series continues Oct. 23-25 with the Mopar Express Lane NHRA SpringNationals presented by Pennzoil at Houston Raceway Park. It will be the penultimate points paying event on 2020 calendar, which promises to be as action packed as the first nine rounds of the National Hot Rod Association’s premier divisions.
