E3 Spark Plugs Sponsors Muskegon Bike Time

E3 Spark Plugs is proud to be a sponsor of the 2010 Muskegon Bike Time, touted as America’s fastest growing bike event. For the fourth year, more than 30,000 motorcycles are expected to ramble into downtown Muskegon, MI with upwards of 90,000 spectators in tow. It’s a great family-centered event complete with the Lucas Oil/E3 Spark Plugs Dyno Drag Challenge, a competition to see who’s got the baddest, most powerful bike. This contest pits two riders at a time against each other on a dyno for a virtual “race” that emulates a quarter-mile drag strip. Winning is based on reaction time to the starting lights and horsepower performance of each bike.

E3 Spark Plugs and Lucas Oil proudly sponsor the 2010 Muskegon Bike Week's Dyno Drag Challenge.

Other events and features include the Mayor’s Ride, Blessing of the Bikes, Sergeant Smash Monster Truck Rides, the Miss Bike Time Contest, live music and Steel Horse Alley, a motorcycles-only area where you can show off your ride and talk shop with other bikers who travel to Muskegon Bike Time from all across the nation.

Muskegon Bike Time revs up at noon on Friday, July 16 and runs through Sunday, July 18. The event is free, except for a small entry fee for beer tents and entertainment areas. But beds fill up fast, so E3 Spark Plugs recommends you book a place to stay now. The official Muskegon Bike Time hotel is Shoreline Inn & Suites, downtown’s only riverfront hotel. Or opt for RV / tent camping at the Mart Dock just two blocks from Steel Horse Alley, or the Paul & Nola Wing of Lake Sch-Nepp-A-Ho Campground. There are no hookups, so if you opt for camping out, be prepared to rough it a bit.
