For over 60 years, the Concours d’Elegance has been thrilling automotive enthusiasts with beauty, power and technology. And one of the most anticipated Concours events is happening next month. Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance celebration starts its engines August 14, 2013 for both a memorable experience and a great cause. With more than $16 million already raised for charity, attending the event allows you to help worthwhile causes while you enjoy the ultimate vintage car lover’s experience.

This one is definitely worthy of a road trip. Festivities begin on Wednesday, August 14 with participant arrivals and exhibits. The Pebble Beach Tour d’Elegance, sponsored by Rolex, will be held on Thursday, August 15. Line up begins at Collins Field at 7 a.m. The tour starts at 8 a.m. and will travel parts of the original 17-Mile Drive. At noon, the cars will arrive at Carmel-by-the-Sea and be on display until 2 p.m. Vehicles return to Pebble Beach at 3 p.m. to a champagne toast and the Concours Kickoff Party.

On Friday, August 16, the Pebble Beach RetroAuto begins. If you’re looking for automotive art, historic memorabilia, auto parts or anything luxury automotive, RetroAuto will have it. Exhibitors include both retail vendors and manufacturers. The RetroAuto Plaza is also the place to be to see the MidAmerica Antique Motorcycle exhibit with some of the rarest motorcycles on display.

Gooding & Company presents the Pebble Beach Auction on Saturday and Sunday, August 17 and 18. This event has set automotive auction history with a record of $113.7 million in sales over two days. The auction company has extremely high standards and both viewers and participants are sure to be impressed with the the incredible luxury and collector cars up for bid. Viewing begins on August 14 and the auctions will be held Saturday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The Concours D’Elegance itself will feature several special classes of automotive excellence including Lincoln Custom Coachwork, Aston Martin Centennial, Porsche 911, Lamborghini and French Motorcycles. The show field area will feature over 100 years of vehicle history as well as an array of concept cars, bringing the past, present and future together in one spectacular display. Judging begins at 9 a.m. on August 18, spectator viewing begins at 10:30 a.m. and awards are handed out from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Of course, true enthusiasts definitely should experience the Pebble Beach Motoring Classic. This is the ultimate driving adventure for pre-1968 vehicles, covering 1,500 miles and ending in Pebble Beach. The event begins on Monday, August 5, in Kirkland, Washington. Participants are scheduled to arrive in Pebble Beach on Wednesday, August 14. E3 Spark Plugs does want to remind you to check your vehicle before you embark on an adventure.
