Maple Grove Raceway outside Reading, Pennsylvania, hosted Round One of the 2023 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series Countdown to the Championship for Top Fuel and Funny Car drivers at Mohnton track over the weekend. Originally opened as a 1/5-mile dragstrip in 1962, the pavement was lengthened to 1/4-mile in 1964 and has seen many record-setting runs. For the second year in a row, the Pep Boys NHRA Funny Car All-Star Callout took place at Indianapolis Raceway Park. The fan-popular specialty race allowed the top-seeded driver to get first pick in selecting their heads-up opponent for side-by-side nitro racing. The program is part of Pep Boys' commitment to help close the nation's skills gap in the industry.
