These are great tips; car needs are often overlooked when packing it full of kids but could result in a dangerous situation. My phone is my most useful tool when preparing for trips. I have a bunch of apps I use to get ready for the trip and while on the road. The Remote Access app from my employer, DISH, is a great one to keep the kids occupied or to use on long trips. It lets me watch TV on my phone so I can keep up with my favorites while away from home or keep the kids from asking if we’re there yet. I also use my phone to map my destination ahead of time so I don’t get lost or try and pull out my phone or the GPS when already on the road.
